The ceremonies of
Freemasonry afford instruction and education to all members.
This instruction is supplemented by various other activities such as seminars, lectures, workshops, and self-directed learning by reading articles, books and use of audio visual materials and the internet. appointing a Grand Lecturer but also through the Freemasons' Library and Museum. In more recent times the Diploma in Masonic Education Correspondence Course, an Induction Course and a Leadership Course have been provided. The Grand Lodge Education Committee, headed by the Grand Lecturer, has responsibility for provision of educational services.

through the Grand Lodge Office.Members can also learn by visiting other lodges (including lodges of Research and lodges working different rituals) and by attending Grand Lodge, lodge Installations and special ceremonies such as formation of a new lodge and laying a foundation stone. |
