Conference
The Annual
Conference was held at 254 North Terrace on the afternoon of 11th October
2003, followed by the Half-Yearly Communication and a mixed dinner.
The Conference
dealt with policy matters and suggested changes to the Regulations.
There was a
good attendance at the Conference. All agenda items were freely discussed
and those passed by the conference were forwarded to the Board of Management
(BOM) for assessment.

That the Board
of Management considers adding the words ‘Widows and Partners of members’
after the word Brother in the first sentence of Regulations 13.16 and the
2 sentences be re numbered at 13.16.1 & 13.16.2

change the regulations so that the ”Grand Almoner" is called the “Director
of Care”
-
That the BOM
change the Regulations so that the Deputy Chairman of the Care Committee
becomes the Deputy Director of Care with Grand Lodge Rank.

The Asset Management
Fund received the support of the conference. The efforts of the Grand
Superintendent of Works are having the desired results for those Lodges
and Lodge buildings that have required maintenance and upgrading in standards.
The Conference
closed with solemn prayer following an Address by the Grand Chaplain.
